Hello!

My name is Hiroto Hayashi, it's nice to meet you. I'm happy to see you here!

In an effort to delve into outdoor recreation and nature-based skills, hobbies, and crafts, I write and take photos of the things I experience and the people I meet. From rockhounding to hunting, I love them all, and I've found that these passions have helped me thrive throughout my life. Because of this, I want to share them with others. I believe that the key to inspiring people to try any outdoor pursuit or nature-based practice is to provide them with experience. That experience can be explicit--by teaching someone to fish for the first time--or vicarious--by writing and taking pictures that entertain, educate, and inspire.

The thing about outdoor recreation and nature-based activities is the fact that they tie in together like roots below a tree. A professor of mine once said, "Dabbling in a little of everything will result in a multiplication of applicability in other areas of your life." Every activity whether it's fishing, hunting, baking, or making soaps and oils provides a different suite of new experiences and skills. By dabbling, we become a jack-of-all-trades in the most holistically engaging activities the world has to offer. They are fun, fulfilling, and easily shared.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at the ways I try to tell these stories and help people tell theirs. Please feel free to contact me with ANY questions you might have. I look forward to talking with you!

-Hiroto Hayashi
